AIPEF Goes to China
5 members of the Anything Is Possible Education Foundation went on a service trip to He Yang County in the Shaanxi Province of China. We were invited by Bob English Training School to run a two week long English Tutoring Camp.
The camp consisted of two three-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. During the morning sessions, the AIPEF teachers taught English through games and fun activities. Some of the students’ favorite games were Duck, Duck Goose and Capture the Flag. During the afternoon session we taught English in a more structured classroom setting. We taught lessons on everything from American history and geography to Holidays in the English-speaking world.
Ultimately, our experience in China was fantastic. Not only were we able to help out a bunch of great students, but we learned effective tutoring techniques that we brought back with us.
AIPEF would like to give great thanks to the Richter Memorial Funds and the Stellyes Center for Global Studies for helping to fund this amazing experience. The leftover expenses were paid for out of pocket by the AIPEF members who went on the service trip.
